Good Morning All,

I have a question for you all. My organization is running ccm 4.2.3, which was an upgrade from ccm 3.x.. Since then, I have 13 ip phones (7940/60) that is routed to another network department via( a switch from my network(3524) to their Pix515 to their 3550 switch), rebooting every 2 to 3 days. Now they are rebooting everyday at least once or twice. Also, I have had several engineers to review my configuration on both Pix515 and switch 3550, and they found nothing wrong with the config. I have checked the firmware and they are the same as my other 80 ip phones on my network. There are a few things in the equation that I'm looking at: 1) the wiring/patch panel, 2) an older model hub, 3) recording systems that is monitoring calls to that department.

please give me any input you all may have.

Thank You,

Marcus Smith

Did you say 'hub'????

Also, check your ARP timeout, I saw once that someone set it to 3
minutes and it caused the phones to reset every couple of hours.

When we first tested out CCM and IP phones, we used a Synoptics stack of
about 4 hubs. They worked great. That was one of the things that sold me on
IP telephony being ready for deployment.
