HP DL380 G5 5160 4G OS Installation
|
|
| Hesham Moussa 2007-12-20, 1:11 pm |
| Hi guys,
I am trying to install Windows OS 2000.4.5 on a HP DL380 G5 using the OS
CD for 7845-H1/H2 and during installation, it exits with an error code
that states that the CPU speed on the server is too quick, therefore it
is clocked at 3GHz when it is expecting 2.3GHz.
Looking at the release notes for 2000.4.5, it suggests that it is
supported:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voi.../rel_note/rn200
045.html
Am I missing some fundamental point here or something? Is there a
workaround as the guys brought a few of these boxes to install CM and it
seems a shame to hand them over to the DBAs to play with. ;o)
Cheers,
H

Guess it means trawling through the boxes of CDs to find it.

You need to hunt down the disc from a CCM 4.2 kit or a newer 4.1 kit...
