Hi support

My user's IP phone 7960 is connected to CCM across the WAN link
He noticed that his phone reset by itself and may not have CM fallback then
back to normal.

Anyone can tell me why? WAN link problem or high bandwidth usage?

Thanks
Eric Wong

The WAN bandwidth usage would have to have been off the charts (8k of
bandwidth is sufficient for a LOT of phones to maintain registration).

My guess is your WAN bounced, and did so for awhile (at least 30 seconds).

BTW, you could see that the interface never went down, but you did lose your
route back to CCM... this could have been a carrier bounce or even just a
transient routing issue.

Actually, there are too many reasons to list here, suffice it to say that
the phone lost its connection to CCM for a period.

I would check the phone's status messages to see what
is going on with it.
