On the other hand there were a lot of people asking about this last week
so it depends on your viewpoint......

I got a similar email from Citrix

'Recent events have shown the ability to communicate effectively during
emergencies is paramount. The Citrix Application Gateway enables you to use
your IP telephone as an emergency notification device. Broadcast Alerts and
Zone Paging applications, part of the Application Gateway, allow you to
deliver emergency alerts and notifications to the screens and speakers of IP
phones.'

Very poor taste in my opinion.

I saw that also, I just figured they had my email from CIPTUG or ACUTA or
networkers.

I had a phone call from a citrix rep last week about the same thing, which i
thought was kinda poor taste.

Go tell Alertus to sod off - encourage others to go
with any solution BUT Alertus. Maybe they'd be a
little bit smarter about trying to send UCE to people.
I've been solicited for odd job offers from this
list...for stuff like IPCCX which I'm not even that
familiar about! Argh.
