I haven't played much with the 12.4(9)T H323 Call Preservation
Enhancements (voice service voip, h323, call preserve).

We are trying test if;

Call comes into 2811 Gateway, H323 Dial Peer to CVP/ICM/CTIOS Desktop,
Agent Talking with caller when SRST goes Active. Will Agent/Caller stay
connected or will call drop, I think currently due to H225/H245 timeout
callwill drop, if we implemented the 12.4(9)T H323 call preservation
enhancements this might keep Agent/Caller up.

We have it configured and (unfortunately) use it. Calls stay up during
transition in and out of SRST mode.

If you're in "normal" mode and you go into SRST, your call stays active,
but your phone won't register into SRST mode until after you hang up.
At that point it does its little reset dance and registers with the CM.

Same thing coming out of SRST mode; if you're on an active call and the
WAN becomes available, your phone stays on the call until you hang up,
at which point it will come out of SRST.

Also, calls will stay up through a transition in and out of SRST mode if
you're on a long call.

NOTE: Don't install 12.4.9(T)! We discovered a bug
(http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/bugtoo...ugid=CSCsf21458) that
causes the phones to continuously deregister each other; TAC cut us a
custom IOS (12.4.9T build 134) which is what we're using, but you don't
need to go through that hassle:

Anyone hear of any plans to add call preservation for MGCP calls?

Also, I'm a little confused as to what is responsible for this new feature,
is it SRST or is it IOS? I know it's hard to distinguish or draw a line, but
I would sure like to be able to go to the SRST page to see what new features
are being made available rather than hunting through IOS documentation.

Please ignore this message. I usually check the documentation before
complain about it. ;)

It's right there in the new features for SRST 4.0. Who would have thunk it?

Is your dial-peer voice voip point to CVP for these incoming calls? The
difference here is CVP gets the calls first, does a Gatekeeper lookup,
then passed the call to CallManager/PGUser/Agent.

The concern I have here is CVP factor.

If this is directed towards me, you'll need to expand the acronym.
