Unity VM to Unity UM VPIM networking - Codec ???

I will be installing Unity VM and Unity UM systems. Both are connected
to the same CM cluster. VPIM will be used to network the systems
together.

I have a question on Codecs selection. I would like to use G.729a on
the VM server, and G.711 on the UM server. Will I have problems when
users forward voice mails from one system or another ?? Do I have to
use the same Codec on both servers??
