Remotely Get Screenshot of Phone Display
|
|
| Keith Klevenski 2007-07-24, 1:12 pm |
| I know there is a way to grab a screenshot of a phone remotely, but my
laptop was stolen and I had the instructions on the hard drive. It was
not a 3rd party product or anything, it was a somewhat clumsy and manual
way to basically get a screenshot of a remote phone from a moment in
time (not a real time view of the screen, but just a screenshot).
Anyone have the steps on how to do this?
Thanks!

Subject: [cisco-voip] Remotely Get Screenshot of Phone Display
I know there is a way to grab a screenshot of a phone remotely, but my laptop was stolen and I had the instructions on the hard drive. It was not a 3rd party product or anything, it was a somewhat clumsy and manual way to basically get a screenshot of a remote phone from a moment in time (not a real time view of the screen, but just a screenshot).
Anyone have the steps on how to do this?
Thanks!

| Luis,
The URL is typically set to point to the publisher, but can really point to anything. Typiaclly it is: http://pubip/CCMCIP/authenticate.[asp,jsp] depending on your flavor of CM.
Whenever someone pushes an execute msg to the phone or tries to access the phone browser, it will check the supplied credentials using the web page at the auth url.
Louis

Louis,
I am also receiving the "<CiscoIPPhoneError Number="4" />" error. What should the Authentication URL be set too?
Thanks,
Luis

John,
Can you verify that your authentication URL is set properly on the IP phone?

Hope I didn't hijack this thread but...
Yes, we have been doing it for several years....now after the upgrade to 5.1 (from 4.1.3) it no longer works. <CiscoIPPhoneError Number="4" />
The phone is associated with my username and I can get to the ccmuser page just fine.
Thanks,
john

Hello:
You have to use the username and password in CCM of the remote telephone's user.
Regards,
David.

Thanks!
