Hi all

we run a CM 4.2(3) with IP Phones 7960.
We now ordered new phones 7961. If I have to replace an old 7960 phone is it
possible to upgrade the phone to the new model (7961) or do I have to delete
the old config and set up a new phone with model type 7961.

Thanks for help

You need to delete the old phone. There's no way to change the device type
once it is in the system.

The good news is, the line won't get deleted, so once you add it to the new
phone, all its settings will come back.
