| Customer is asking for recommendations on Digital Dictation systems.
Any suggestions? Anything that works with cisco VoIP?

| Most are USB Mic Applications back to file server, similar to how you
upload/download music files from iTunes, only it's Dictaphone instead of
iTunes, and you get to record the music with your USB microphone. Thus
no integration with the phone system.

| I just had the exact same question today asked to us.. user's weren't happy
with the price tag an outside vendor had provided. I offered to set them up
a voicemail box specifically for the VIP to record his dictations to, but
that didn't fly. Was the only thing I could think of on the voip system.

| Without knowing the specific requirements of such a system, if all you
need to do is handle inbound phone calls and record a message based on
the user then this would be a very straight forward application to build
with the cisco Unified Application Environment. Answering an incoming
call, gathering a PIN for authorization (if required), and recording the
audio should take all of about 10 minutes to wire together.
More information (and free software for download) can be found here:

Best regards,
Louis
