Syn Server failed?
|
|
| Rhodes, Geoff 2007-08-29, 7:11 pm |
| I keep seeing this error on my Subscriber (not on the Publisher):
Event Type: Information
Event Source: cisco Desktop Enterprise Server
Event Category: None
Event ID: 2
Date: 8/29/2007
Time: 3:01:47 PM
User: N/A
Computer: ADONIS
Description:
SS3024 Syn Server failed to get device information, return error <Could
not get resource description (COMM_FAILURE)>, try config file
In fact, I don't even see a service on my Publisher called "Cisco
Desktop Sync Server". There are other "Cisco Desktop" services running
on the Subscriber too that aren't on the Publisher, such as "Cisco
Desktop Call Chat Server", "Cisco Desktop TAI Server" and cisco Desktop
RASCAL Server".
Any ideas on why this is so and why it's having issues? Both servers
are running OS 2000.4.5a and are Call Manager 4.2.3sr1.
Many thanks in advance.

| UCCX Co-resident? Using TAPS? What version UCCX? These services are
related to Contact Center Express.

| Ah, that must be it, IPCC Express. I'm going to just disable that one
service and see what happens.
