We've had some funy things with our cat4000/cat4500s whereby phones have to cycle a few times before they register. We've never seen this, and if you connect a phone that was already connected, it usually doesn't cycle more than once. We also have a 7912 that refuses to come up on a 4000/4500 but works on a 37xx.
