I'm using openSSH in our lab so far with no problems, don't have Cm5 in
production yet here.

OK I'm using FreeFTPd and I've tried repeatedly to get the storage location
to work. my only guess is that either I need to reboot the CM's or my path
is incorrect. I keep getting this message, "Update failed : Unable to
access SFTP server. Please make sure the login credentials and path are
correct" and when I use WinSCP and Putty I have no problems.

Suggestions or reboot?

TIA

Scott

Freeftpd.
Simple, easy to use...
And can tie to AD.
I saw someone use Microsoft FTP also..

I have been using FreeFTPd with no problems at all, used it for the DMA
file for upgrade from 4.1 (3) to 5.1(1) and subsequent upgrades and also
for back up and it has worked fine for all.

When you set up your user make sure you specify a home dirtectory.

for all those fine people that run FreeFTPd have you seen issues where you
install it as a service but it's only accessable by Callmanager when the
application is up on the desktop? is there a work around for this?

Thanks

I've found that its it bit finicky.

I manually stop the service, launch the GUI make my changes to the
users, paths,etc.

Then exit the GUI, use windows task manager to ensure that it's truly
gone (I usually have to kill it here)

Then start the service

It's been working well for me if I follow that procedure.
