Enabling Print Support

| WDSc for iSeries, V5.1.2.4
HATS 5.0.5 plugin
WebSphere Express V5.0 SF99271 Level 19 (20 on order)
Chapter 12 in my HATS User's and Administrator's Guide — "Enabling print support in projects" page 97 (For 5250 servers) tells me to "...click the Enable print support check box in your project settings."
I can't figure out where that box is presented to me so I can check it. Any pointers?
Thanks in advance. By the way, is there a reason that this newsgroup doesn't show up as far as Google is concerned?

Open your project folder in HATS view, there you will find Project Settings, open it, go to
Connections - Advanced tab and there you will find where to enable print support.

| Okay, thanks! However, now that I've found it and checked it and re-assembled, rebuilt, refreshed and re-run I don't see the "Application keypad" as defined on page 71 where the "View Print Jobs" key is described.According to the way I read the Project View/Project Settings/Rendering/Application Keypad setting, it should be showing up-- I just don't see it. I'll keep looking, but one thought just hit me-- will there be a differencein my "Run on server" when I select my TEST Express on my PC as compared to out in the real live world where iSeries Access for Web is really running? Is that my REAL place to test this function?

| Where can I find the source for the default application keypad? When does it come into existence-- after a project is assembled? Sounds like a goofy question, but I actually built a "dummy" project with the "Enable print support" box checked, and pointed the url to my iSeries Access for Web port and iWASpool... and brought up some PDFs from my spool files. It seems like I should be able to copy the code that makes the "View Print Jobs" button appear into other templates, but I can't seem to find it!

| Mitch, it sounds like you've not chosen to display the application
keypad. On the project settings, Rendering tab, Application Keypad
settings, you need to select to display the Application Keypad, and
within that, select to display the View Print Jobs button.
The default app keypad, by the way, is dynamically placed on a
transformation page at runtime depending on the application's project
settings. There is no source for you to find.
