HOD v9.0.3 is now available from the download site. The service page
was not yet updated to reflect this when this notice was posted, but
will soon be updated.

Hi everybody!!

I?m trying to find info about HOD and this new type of connection 5250W, it
was realesed for HATS V6.0.4 and now my client is interested to know if they
could use HOD with this new kind of connection.

The have a new pSeries equipment with no interactivity service and HATS was
the answear for them in order to have acces to their green screens, but now
they want to do some file transfer and printing but they do not have
licences of "Iseries access for web" so they want to know if thy can solve
this with HOD V9.0.3a. Does anybody know if 5250W will be available for HOD
in the future if it is not yet now?

Thanks

Ivan

It doesn't make sense. HOD is a telnet client and 5250W is a non-telnet con=
nection,
so even if it would work (which I doubt), it would not provide file transfe=
r and
printing capabilities.

Hi Juanma

Maybe it makes no sense, but we have this doubt because at the list of
Rational Web Developer plugins we found this one for HOD "Host Access
Beans - Version 9.0.3 - com.ibm.eNetwork.beans.HOD" and with it the Rational
can open a green screen of HOD in order of making the screen customization
and recognitions.

We are working with HATS V6.0.4 on Rational Web Developer V6.0.1 and using
the new type of connection 5250W in order to use the Webfacing Server to
stablish this conection.

Maybe I'm wrong and this won't happend but I'm trying to find info about it.

Thanks in advance

Ivan

Right, HATS uses HOD beans underneatch for the connctions, so the beans do =
support
the 5250W connection, but that still won't give you file transfer and print=

capabilities since you are not in a telnet connection (webfacing doesn't us=

telnet).

The 5250W connection was developed exclusively for HATS, and as such is
not available for HOD users.
