When is the next version (after 0.9) of the Apache LDAP server going to

Hi ! Thanks a lot for your interest in ApacheDS.

A quick answer will be : as soon as it will be ready ;)

A second thought : if you mean a 1.0 version, then it will take a little
bit longer ..

The more you will use the current version, the more bugs we will be able
to fix. So, it's also up to you : use the 0.9, shakes it, reports bugs,
we will do our best to release fast a 0.9.1, 0.9.2, then a 1.0-alpha,
then ...

cheers,
Emmanuel

I understand that.

I am just trying to plan what version to use for our November release.

Are you planning to bundle Apache DS in your SmartRoles product ?

Sorry that I clicked on 'send' a little bit too quickly just before
adding a last sentence :

"this is just *my* vision of when will the next version be released".

Alex surely have a more accurate vision of the roadmap than I do, I just
expressed a kind of general feeling, which is nor very helpful for those
- like you - who want to work on a bullet-proof application. Sorry about
this !

Alex, a bet ?

cheers,
Emmanuel.

We're preparing now for a release of 0.9 which has some major changes
in place. Namely the configuration used and performance improvements
within the core of the server. These improvements are a result of a
new backend subsystem refactoring thanks to Trustin.

We're looking at 1-2 weeks if we can get the logging issues sorted
out first.

Alex
