Hi all,

After a discussion regarding lowering the barrier of entry for new
committers we finally selected some candidates and voted to accept them
as new committers.

Please welcome the new committers on the directory project.

Dave Irving
Mike Heath
Joerg Henne

Thanks guys!

My desire is start getting my feet wet with the work that Enrique (and
John?) has been doing in migrating AD to OSGi (Felix). I'm hoping I can
help there... maybe start doing some documentating and testing and (as I
learn the guts) some bug fixes as well. Hoping to pick up some real
know-how with regards to LDAP, the various AD implementations of some
protocols, and the architecture of MINA as I contribute to the quality of
the project.

Thank you for the warm welcome.

Look forward to working with all of the ApacheDS dev team.

Hate to take a vacation when there is work to do but, next week I will
be headed to Europe to visit family and friends and will be out of touch
for the month of August.

Before I leave, I will work with Timothy and Enrique regarding OSGi
documentation for ADS.

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the warm welcome and the vote of
confidence.

Right now I'm working on a maven testing harness
(Project Type ... archetype in maven speak) for
repeatable testing.

As soon as we get passwords, I'll synch the
documentation with the use cases in it.

Please add to these use cases, as you come across test
cases where most of the inputs can be provided up
front, thus minimizing effort in testing setup and
result interpretation.

The general use case for the maven ADS plugin will be
to generate testing project baselines that with a few
tweaks, will be ready to run, generating reporting
results in the maven site directory, which could
simultaneously be deployed to a web server for
collaboration.

Im hoping to contribute my recent asynchronous http work very soon - and play an active role in growing a community around it.
