I get javax.naming.NamingException when filter contains negation operation and value of attribute is specified. Below are filters for which everything works fine and for which it is not.
(!(ou=Marek)) OK
(!(cn=*)) OK
(!(cn=Marek)) FAILS
(!(description=*)) OK
(!(description=Marek)) FAILS
