I have an annoying anomaly with my Sipura SPA3000 - It makes the phone
ring just once occasionally.

My set up is PSTN line connected to PSTN line (No SIP connection on PSTN
line) JustDialVoIP connected to LINE 1 with VoIPBuster on Gateway 4 and
Sipgate on Gateway 2. I also have UK ringing tones set up on REGIONAL.
I have PSTN ring Thru Line 1 enabled.

I can receive PSTN and VoIP Calls on JDV with no problems I can also
make PSTN and all 3 SIP accounts using dial plans without problems.

However, the phone rings just once every now and again; sometimes it's
several days without it happening and then sometimes 2 or 3 times within
as many hours. (And it's damned annoying when it happens in the middle
of the night!!).

There are no call details for the stray call on the INFO Page, neither
is there any info on 1471 on the PSTN line.

Anybody had this experience or know where to start looking in the myriad
of settings on this box.

Thanks for ay help,

David

It might be MWI - Message Waiting Indication. Do any of your VoIP accounts
support this..? Do you have a voicemail message waiting somewhere..?

Don't think it can be cos there's no messages (see answer below).

Yes. JDVoIP does.

There are no voicemail messages waiting at JDVoip (and never have been
since I deleted my first test messages months ago).

On the SPA3000 LINE 1 tab I will change MWI Serv: to 'no' and see what
happens.

There is also a VMWI Serv: entry which is 'yes' - don't know what that's
for!!

Thanks,
David

I have heard of this problem of "Phantom calls" before - see what some
Ozzies experience
http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/foru...cfm/401144.html
Down under they seem to think it may be some hardware problem.

Hi David ,

I am also using SP3000.
I am new with this hardware and manual is extremely difficult for me
(no way to find any manual in Italian).

Of course I don't have any answer to yr post , sorry!
but I have just read that you can do fabulous things with Sipura.
(receive from one account and call via GW1 and so on...)

May I ask you to send me yr configurations and dial plans.
This will help me a lot to better understand!
Of course I will use different providers... but will be anyway a starting
point !!

Thanks in advance !

Ciao + regards.

Lorenzo

That sounds like my problem - looks as though I need to contact my
supplier for a replacement.

:-(
