Doesn't really tell you anything but no doubt it's vagueness is due to
the fact that the network is so different in different areas of the country.

By the way, is the "someone else" you mention, Nynex? That's who I was
originally with in Oldham and who originally laid the cables before it
changed to C&W and then NTL.
