It depends on the context - could be anything from a modern mobile
telephone or PDA though to a desktop "workstation" or rack-mounted
servers or routers or IBM zSeries or mainframes or even Colossus.

All of the above I would regard as being computers, just as I'd regard
an ATA to be one.
