You are entitled to your opinion, of course.

It is not only my opinion, it is also that of the authors of the website
referred to, plus the vast majority of Usenet users. If it were not so,
the word forum would appear at least once on that site as a definition.
Again, find me the word somewhere there.
You are not going to win this one, Paul. I suggest that you stop digging
now.

Cite for your last claim, please?

Why, when it is already defined in the dictionary? Does it define all
other possible words which might be used to describe newsgroups?

I think I'll stop posting to this thread as it is way off-topic. I have
sent you private email, though.

I think your previous reply of 66 mentions on google (hardly a world
authority) says it all.

66 mentions saying that it is a forum. So far only you who says that it
is not a forum. The absense of a positive statement that something is a
forum is not an indication that it is not.

No. Of the total number of Usenet users, 66 agree with you. That means
that the remainder either don't care or agree with me. Either way my
argument has more credibility than yours.
Case closed.
