If the url argument to this function is not fully qualified, i.e.
/login.html, what is the actual request? I am using it happily on my
development box, which is listening on localhost, but on a live server
it doesn't ever return.

I think maybe it qualifies if for me with hostname, because that will
go to the wrong address, as these are all in a private network behind
a load balancer.

Anyone?

Thanks,

Ian
