Hi All

I really need some help with setting up my web server. I am new to all of this so please forgive me. I believe that I have set everything up alright, but when I try to access my site from outside the server I get the error message.

You don't have permission to access / on this server

I have checked all the basics, port 80 is not blocked and I do have the right ext. for the index file (index.html as per the httpd.conf). Dropping the firewall doesn't help and I have also tried changing the ip address in httpd.conf from 127.0.0.1 to 192.168.*.* . I do have a dynamic address 'thingamebob' by the way (no-ip if it makes any difference).
Any help people can give me will be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks
Tim

P.s. Windows 2000 pro

post the IP address of your webserver

check to make sure the document root directory is correct and that you actually have the index page/file in that same directory

check to make sure that .html files are configured to be served by IIS.
