| That basically explains it. I have tried everything possible to make it run smooth. Don't get me wrong internet works perfectly. Websever works, game works sharing works port forwarding works I guess up to the point where I am surfing my own forum and then click something maybe search button, or PM someone and it freezes and waits until it times out. I then need to go back back back to other pages and take a new router to get to the page I wanted to go. Sometimes it does work sometimes it doesn't.
It seems to be NOT TOO BAD because people still use my forum. But the fact is people have noticed it and I'm sure that many users are pissed. Sorry for long rant.
I've done DMZ, port forwarding and every other stupid thing a tech support from D-Link tells me to do.
Is there anything I can do. I've tested my friends Linksys and it works perfectly. I used it for almost 10 days and no timeouts and my server trippled in size, BUT I did get one timeout when dling a ton of stuff of bittorent... but that was ONE TIME.
This stupid d-Link router times out every 1 out of 10 clicks on my forum. It's ridiculous. I'm buying a new one tommorow unless someone has something I can try! I've updated firmware btw. Actually i went and exchanged at future shop for same router with newer firmware. :P |
