hello,

I started from scratch to setup a new webserver, this is my first time and I have done all this by online tutorials, in the end the server seems not responding even if I connect without my router, or DMZ turned on, or even when my antivirus software autoprotect (also windows firewall) shutdown, I am facing some difficulties so please teach me how to work it out. I checked with DNS report and it doesn't seem to show very critical problems and my friends can all ping my IP, for the FTP server it says socket connected and stops at the 'waiting for welcome' message' step. when somebody type in my URL the server seems to be keeping the clients on wait until timeout. Also I can see my own localhost without any problems while another computer in the same LAN cannot see my homepage while LAN address typed in, so I think it's something in my computer.. If anyone knows what is happening or have a clue please contact. Thx

OS:windows xp Professional
Server: Apache 2.055
Zoneedit DNS service
Norton Antivirus firewall with appropriate ports (in the internet worm protection section)opened
Behind router with appropriate ports opened (also tried with DMZ turned on or even without router) still same problem
Direct Update DNS update software (confirmed working) with DNS pointing to my IP whenever it changes
