Hi all.
First of all I beg your pardon for my english.
I have 2 PCs in a little LAN, 1 desktop & 1 notebook, running both XP Pro.
I've installed Apache 2.0.48 on the desktop PC and I've tried to set it up
minimally, just to try if the site, resident on my desktop, was accessible.
But it wasn't.
If I try to access the site from the notebook PC and that what happens:
1. If the notebook is connected to the net through a normal dial-up
connection I cannot access the site;
2. If the notebook is connected to the net through the LAN (Internet
Connection Sharing - desktop PC connected to the net with an ADSL modem and
notebook exploits the desktop PC connection) I can access the site normally.
At he end I can access the site through the LAN but non trough the web.

What have I to fix ?

P.S. the problem persist with desktop PC firewall on or off.

Please, give me a hint or a little help.

Carlos

How do you access the site if the notebook is connected to the 'net'?
What's 'the net'? Internet?

Again, how do you access the site?
Does your ISP block port 80 to your system?

Yes, of course...if I was wondering about other 'net' I'd write 'the LAN',
doesn't you ?

1. trough the ICS of the desktop (when I'm connected to the LAN)
or
2. through a dial-up connection (when I'm NOT connected to the LAN)

The same I wrote in the first message, doesn't you ?

Absolutely not.

P.S. When the Apache Server is running under Linux SuSE 9.0 the site is
reacheable, so the mistake should be under Win-Apache configuration.
