| Hi,
I configure apache, in xp pro, for multiple hosts names and one ip address
(using 127.0.0.1) but when I try to connect to a virtual host I must be
online. Offline Apache serve nothing and internet explorer ask me to
connect.
BUT WHY?
P.s.
I fill "C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts" in this manner:
127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.1 bva
127.0.0.1 abc
127.0.0.1 fcpoint

That gave me gray hair too, until I accidentally discovered that it worked
fine with other browsers like Mozilla. My "workaround" for the problem
consists in changing the connection settings of IE to never dial up any
connection.

No idea. 'Cause it's Microsoft?
