Hello, I'm running RedHat 9.0 with Apache/2.0.48 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.0.48
OpenSSL/0.9.7a PHP/4.3.4.

My box was running fine for about a month and then all of a sudden it
decided to crash. I'm not really sure caused the problem, but I've got
almost everything worked out.

Right now, when I go to my webpage I get....

*********
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access / on this server.
Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an
ErrorDocument to handle the request.
**********

I've tried checking all the permissions on the directories, and I've even
recompiled Apache, but this permissions problem keeps coming up.
My httpd.conf file looks fine to me. Can someone offer me some suggestions?
I've dug through google and can't find anything that helps my issue. Are
there any good debugging tools for RedHat and apache?

thanks...

Matt

Check the log file of apache, probably is really a problem of permission
on the DocumentRoot of Apache or with the user Apache run.
