A newbie question I'm afraid. I have Apache set to run on Win XP as and
Automatic Startup Service, but only the Monitor starts. I have to start it
manually. Once started, it works fine. Very glad for any help please.

Maybe you've just added the Monitor icon to startup folder? You have to set
"Apache" service as automatic (run "services.msc", find Apache and check
properties).

Alavaro, thanks for your help!

Apache is shown in Windows Services as Startup Type:Automatic and Logon As:
Local Service. I believe this is correct?

Check logs, maybe there's a problem with Windows user permissions.

Alvaro, here is the log entry. I have put in a note where I re-booted. You
can see there is no record made when the PC re-started - only at 13:06:12
when I re-started Apache manually from the Monitor that was auto-started.
