Hello all:

I have some test servlets that I wrote to test out log4j and
internationalization. I can never seem to remember where I read this but I
know you can simply copy a Servlet into a certain directory in Tomcat and
then run it without having to go thru the trouble of creating a web app with
a web.xml, etc... Just want to simply copy a servlet into a directory and
immediately run it thru the browser to see its output.

I'm using Tomcat 5.0

I looked at:
C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat
5.0\webapps\ROOT\WEB-INF\classes
directory but I saw a web.xml in there too.

Maybe I'm not looking close enough but the online help/documentation all
seem to want to have you go thru the trouble of creating a new web
application.

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks...
