| Hi, I know there has been much talk about the subject here, but I hope
you can still answer me.
I have linux slackware 9.1.
$ uname -a
Linux darkovkomp 2.4.22 #22 Mon Sep 15 12:48:08 PDT 2003 i686 unknown
unknown GNU/Linux
My apache works correctly, and I have php installed. I also have mysql
support. php works nice with mysql, but apache doesn't recognize the
php scripts. It actually just prints it's code, but doesn't execute it
and send it's output.
I tried everything, but I don't have idea how to solve this.
I tried to put this into /var/www/cgi-bin/ but it doesn't work. I even
tried to cut the php extension, but it gave me some strange "security"
message, saying something like "it is not allowed to execute php
scripts directly, ..."
I will send my httpd-conf here, and if someone is interested in
helping me, he might look at it. Some of the lines were added or
modified by myself, so you can correct them if they're wrong or not
needed.

| I didn't read all of your config but it seems you're missing the magic lines
<IfModule mod_php4.c>
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php4
AddType application/x-httpd-php-source .phps
</IfModule>
Of those file extensions, you'll probably need only ".php".
Make sure the php module is actually loaded, though.

Uncomment that line.
Then check that file (mod_php.conf), maybe uncomment as necessary.
