Apache Server configuration support - War changed configuration ?

Hy all,

I have a system running mod_jk
this morning i added a new war file in the webapp folder. I needed to
change some rules in server.xml so i saved the old one and did the changes.
Now i'm done with testing and restored the old server.xml.

For some reason now the connection between apache and tomcat seems to be
gone.
Is it possible the deployed war made tomcat do some configuration changes ?
i restarted all service and machine with no result.
When i asked a list of changed files today there were some files changed
wich i m 100% sure are not changed bij me ( tomcat users.xml ??)
