I run a local apache2 server under Debian linux. It's been running fine for
some time, so obviously something changed in an update, but I'm not sure
what.

If I enter the URL

serverName/index.html

(where servername is my local server), it loads fine in IE6. Under Firefox,
however, I get the message

You have chosen to open
index.html

Which is a HTML page
What should Firefox do with this file

Opening it in Firefox is not one of the options. Firefox opens remote
documents fine, so it's obviously associated with this server.

Could one of you experts point me at the parameters to check / change to
correct this? I'd appreciate it much

tia
