| its real simple just add the lines to /etc/hosts and it will work
inside the LAN as well outside, as explained - your router cannot be
sent requests for your dyn hostname to the external IP from INSIDE but
by adjusting the hosts file on any computer inside the lan which you
want to access the server from then the hostname is sent to the
internal IP address of the server.
I mean if you had file sharing set up on a machine in your network you
wouldnt request the files by giving it a public hostname, setting up
port forwarding and then requesting the hostname from your external IP,
you just request the files from the internal IP, or add the line in
hosts and request the hostname - so DNS is never used.
