Hi All

I am continuously getting an error in my access logs as follows:

file does not exist: /path/to/virtual/server/favicon.ico

I know that this is not supposed to be a serious error, but my sites
are down!

Debian3.x/Apache2.0.54

Firefox, and a couple other browsers always check for favicon.ico so it
can load it right up there in the address bar. This is not anything to
be concerned with, and if it really matters, create a favicon.ico .
Another option would be configure your apache server with setenvif to
ignore requests for favicon.ico.

As I said, this is not a problem, nothing is wrong, and there is really
nothing to be concerned about by this error message.

Not because of the favicon.ico error. There must be something else
wrong.
