I cannot access a folder through my web browser that was extracted by root. I tried chown on the whole folder to a lower level user and also chmod 755 on the folder and all files within the folder. The only work around was to copy -r my target folder as a lower level user. Does anybody know why this happens and the way to correct it? Thanks.
