| I'm currently running Apache 1.3.27 on Redhat Advanced Server 2.1, but
the PCLAN folks are upgrading the box. Will Apache 1.3.27 run the same
on Redhat Advanced Server 4.0?
Thanks,
Dave

Sure it will, but I'm surprised that you don't get Apache 2 with that.
One word of warning: watch out for SELinux.

You know the sort of thing, they ask you if you've implemented shadow
passwords but don't know their /dev/arse from their /etc/elbow.

| Yeah, I'd rather use Apache 2 also. But the 3rd party module I'm
running "won't work" with Apache 2 according to the vendor.
Thanks, very much, for your assurance!

That's possible. Many third party modules have never been ported to 2.x

Borg to do their marketing and Ferengi to do their programming.
