hello all,

I have installed apache and php following the instructions on this link
which was very helpful:
http://www.tanguay.at/installPhp5.php5

problem:

OS: Windows XP

INDEX.PHP NOT LOADING

important: followed the instruction on the above link and added
index.php to dicrectoryIndex on httpd.conf. and some scripts.

I write either localhost or 127.0.0.1 which is basically the same and
the status is ..opening http://localhost... and NOTHING HAPPENS.

PLEASE HELP.

I searched for a solution for houors and found none.

1. Open http://localhost/index.php (assuming you've got that foile), and
tell us what happens.
2. Look at your error log.

That doesn't look particularly useful. For an easier way to do it I
would advise downloading and installing XAMPP for windows
