Kindly help a newbie.

I've installed Debian "Sarge" and connected the box to my LAN. I'm able to surf the internet from this computer. Apache2 is installed, running and configured on this box as my understanding allows. I've registered timlash.net and used Zonedit.com to act as DNS server, forwarding web requests to port 125. Bellsouth.net is my DSL ISP. My modem is set as an ethernet bridge and my router is set to forward port 125 to my server's local IP address. When I use the M$ windows box on my LAN and enter timlash.net in a browser, the address with the proper port gets resolved and my web page is correctly displayed. However, computers outside my LAN get timeout messages. The same behavior is present even if I place my server in the router's DMZ. I'm at a loss on how to proceed.

I have not installed a software firewall on my Debian box. My understanding is that Debian does not come with one by default. Am I mistaken?

Are there no/low cost web based testing services to help me troubleshoot my server connectivity and web site functionality?

Apache is set to listen to port 125. Are web server replies sent back to the interenet using the same port that recieves the request?

I'd appreciate any suggestions to get me going in the right direction.

Thanks,

Tim
