I have recently switched a test machine which ran Win98SE (apache 2.2.3
installed and ran with zero problems) to WinXP, where Apache refuses to run on
a clean install XP (but installed okay aparently). I have encountered the
following error which I can find nothing about how to stop:

HTTPD: Syntax error on line 134 of n:/Apache2/conf/httpd.conf: API module
structure `access_module' in file n:/Apache2/modules/mod_access.so is ga
rbled - perhaps this is not an Apache module DSO?

When I comment out the line in httpd.conf, then attempt to restart Apache, the
next module produces the same error, and so on and so on until all modules are
commented out - which is a pretty useless exercise if you need certain
modules.

Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem. It appear to be the only
problem preventing Apache from running. The httpd.conf or hosts file have not
been amended from the old machine to the new one.
