Hi,
I am not much of a systems person. We have a Linux SuSe system
running Apache 1.3. php 4.4 is installed to run under Apache:

LoadModule php4_module libexec/libphp4.so

Until Friday, all my php scripts ran just fine. All the sudden they
stopped running. The Apache server still responds to html requests
just fine but it hangs for any php page. When I restart Apache, the
error_log says

Apache/1.3.33 (Unix) PHP/4.4.0 configured -- resuming normal
operations

That sounds as if everything was okay. The file libphp4.so is still
located where it belongs. Nothing has changed with regard to the
system since last week. I rebooted the server - no change.

Does anybody have an idea? I am really not a systems person at all
but for some reason it is my job to fix this problem. So, I really
appreciate any input.

Thank you very much.
Anke

So, what happened on saturday then?

If you execute one of your php script directly from the command line
does it work? Do you get a request logged in your log? Do you get
an error of some sort in your browser or in your logs?
