Hello!

I am looking for a technology or something that
will help me develop a self-containd module
that the customer will be able to plug in
into his existing server and use the service
provided by that module.

I would like it to be independent
of things other than the type of the web server
the customer is using. That is there should
be two modules - one for Apache and one for IIS
and they must work regardless of what technology is
used by the server - php , modperl, ASP etc.

Does such a technology exists and what word
should I serach next?
