where is the best source of web server rankings, showing which servers
are the most popular,
ie. apache versus IIS etc

| this is a good table thanks,
i have also looked at the prices for the most important servers. Many
are free.
What do people pay for when they buy zeus, or web site pro that is so
much better than apache or iis?

I don't know if they pay for anything better. ;-)
In any case, typically what you are paying for is support, which you
either don't get with Open Source products or don't have 24x7 access to.
