Author Tomcat and Apache Reverse Proxy

Hello,

I recently installed an Apache server (2.0.47) in front of a Tomcat
server (4.1.24) on a Windows 2003 Server environment. Both servers are
situated on different machines. On that Apache Server I enabled
Reverse Proxy for security reasons. I configured the Tomcat server.xml
accordingly.

The problem now is that I can no longer access the application from
the application server (Tomcat), using http://localhost:port/app_name.
The only way I can achieve this is by switching the Reverse Proxy
temporarily off (i.e. bringing the site offline).

Is there another possibility for accessing Tomcat internally when
Reverse Proxy is activated?

I'm looking forward to any suggestion that may lead me in the right
direction.

Kind Regards,

Jo Leemans
