| We replaced a Windows 2000 server with IIS 5.0 (PII Machine, 256 MB Ram) with a brand dell server P4, 1 GB Ram with windows 2003 web edition and IIS 6.0. I read somewhere that a web server running Windows 2003 with IIS6 is 3 times faster than Windows 2000 with IIS 5.0 ....... from my personal experience i haven't seen that happening but the opposite.
What is happening is that ASP pages accesing Data from a SQL server 2000 takes 15-30 secs to load, with the old machibe used to take a sec or less.
Many people are having the same problem and i can't find a resolution for this issue, they just gave up and went back to Windows 2000 and IIS 5.0.
what can be done so IIS6.0 works like IIS 5.0 used to ?
I tried disabling recycling work processes ... it did not work
Any ideas ?
