Author redirecting subdomains to user profile on website?

Hi,

At the company I work for we are currently developing a new website for a charity organisation. On this website each user got his/her own profile which should be accessible as a subdomain of the website. For instance if my login name is 'Black2lip' then other people should be able to visit my profile on 'http://Black2lip.domain.com'.

It's a quite big server park with a high security level with firewalls, loadbalancers, switches, SSL accelerators etc. There are two loadbalancers who divide the visitors to one of the four identical production servers. All these servers are running on Windows 2000 with IIS as webserver.

The DNS server is hosted by a 3rd party and now I'm wondering how it is possible to forward the subdomain to a user profile.

Any help would be great,

Regards B2L
