You cannot stash the password to a file with certain database types.

We here have the same problem.
And we concluded that the other database types can't contain passwords.
But we don't have the option of CMS key database. So does anyone know how to get the CMS database type?

Thanks for any help!

I seems that you are not using the iKeyMan programme that was shipped
with IHS, instead I think you are using the (different) iKeyMan of WAS.
Please make sure that you are using IHS' iKeyMan.

Thank you for the answer the problem is now solved. Used the wrong version of iKeyMan.

I needed to use the /usr/bin/ikeyman.

Thanks!!!

Use the JDK that comes with AIX (Java 1.2 for AIX 4.3.3,1.30 for AIX
5.x, I believe). Otherwise, you have to setup the Java security
providers with the JDK (which I have never had work, btw).

I even sent a bug report to IBM asking why they didn't just setup the
normal providers by default, and they basically responded with RTFM and
it's not their problem. Typical IBM.

Java 1.3.1 does not come with AIX 4.3.3 or 5.1. Now that I think about
it, I think Java 1.1.8 comes with AIX 4.3.3 (not sure if you can use
it). The reason I suggest Java 1.2.2 or 1.3.0 is because I have had
problems with the ikeyman and Java 1.3.1. I have had success with 1.2.2
and 1.3.0
