Hi,
I have the latest 2.0.47 (april 2004 cumulative fix) version installed and I
have it up and running under port 80.
I have also loaded the ssl module like this:
LoadModule ibm_ssl_module modules/mod_ibm_ssl.so

I then created a virtual host to control the ssl side of things like this:

<VirtualHost 192.168.1.3:443>

ServerName Athlonxp1001

serverRoot "C:/Program Files/IBM HTTP Server 2.0"

DocumentRoot "C:/Program Files/IBM HTTP Server 2.0/htdocs/en_US"

keyfile "C:\Program Files\IBM HTTP Server 2.0\key.kdb"

SSLClientAuth none

ErrorLog logs/error.log

#sslenable

</VirtualHost>

I also created the key db and stashed the password and created a self signed
certificate.

As soon as I uncomment sslenable the service refuses to start up, and
eventually times out. There are no errors in the NT event log or in the
apache logs.

I am doing testing on a XP box before I move it to the production windows
2000 server. I am currently running a 1.3.x IBM HTTP server on the 2000 box
and this will be a update.

I never had any problems with the 1.3.x version.

Has anyone else run into this problem before?

Thanks

Tony

I do not see a directive for certificate (just for the kdb). Make sure that
the Keyfile directive is outside VirtualHost and SSLServerCert points to the
certificate label inside the kdb.

Sunit,
Thanks a bunch, that did the trick :-)
The only reason I did not have that was becasue in the docs it says that is
optional if there is only one cert defined in a db.
Oh well.

Thanks again.

Tony,

I think you have to explicitly mark that certificate as the default
certificate in the kdb. If SSLKeyCert directive is absent then it tries to
use the default certificate.
