| Hello,
I want to configure my http server on a newly installed 810 (test). I have
installed DG1, IWE, AC3, CE3, TC1 and all of the SS1 stuff.
I also applied the lastet PTF´s (Feb 2004).
When starting the Web Administration throuh the webbrowser http:// ip of
machine:2001 I sign on as QSECOFR and everythings looks pretty and ok.
DCM also works as expected but when I want to configure my existing
APACHEDFT Server I get permission problems for the file httpd.conf.
If I want to view the configurationfile via the webinterface - tools -
option I get a empty window so this seem like I cant even read the file.
This server is starting with no problems and I can also browse the website
via port 80.
If I try to configure a new http Server I get the errormessage ZUI_50008
which means I have not sufficient permissions to edit the httpd.conf file.
The folders in /Root/www/ for the new Server are created but they are all
empty. I have permissions for *Public *RX, QSYS *RWX and QTMHHTTP *RWX for
all of the directories and files under /Root/www/.
I also tried it with full rights for all of those users and Objectsights
*ALL.
I also tried to give the user QTMHHTTP *SECOFR rights but nothing changes.
(is a testing system)
Because I am having no further points to try I am asking here.
Any help would be nice.
Thanks in advance
Thomas

| I am having this same error, and do not have any type of security software installed. I did not have a host name or FQDN in CFGTCP option 12, so I added the system name, and system name.ibm.com. However it still did not work, then we figured out that th
e loop back was not active. Once I activated the loop back the problem was solved.
