I am aware that the IBM HTTP Server (original) has been removed from
OS/400 VRM530 however the QZHBCONF service program still contains all
the original server configuration procedures. Many of these are no
longer documented in the 530 Information Centre but they are still callable.

My problem is that when some (perhaps all) of the original server
configuration APIs are called on OS/400 530 they appear to complete
normally (the Error Code structure contains no error information) but
they don't actually do anything. Specifically:

Calling QzhbCreateConfig completes successfully but does not add a
member to the QUSRSYS/QATMHTTPC file.

Calling QzhbCreateInstance completes successfully but does not add a
member to the QUSRSYS/QATMHINSTC file.

I cannot find any information on the IBM HTTP Server (for iSeries) web
site, nor anything in the 530 Memo To Users that says the behaviour of
these APIs has changed, nor anything in the IBM iSeries KnowledgeBase.

I can accept that these APIs may no longer work but I would expect them
to set the Error Code structure to indicate an error (such as HTPnnnn
API not supported on current release) rather than appear to complete
successfully.

Can anyone confirm that these APIs complete but really do nothing on 530?

Thanks,
Simon.
